Fonterra Upgrades WWTP with Advanced HyDAF Systems.

November 23, 2023

Hydroflux recently completed the upgrade of the wastewater treatment facility at Fonterra’s processing site in Whareroa. Hydroflux worked closely with Tetra Pak and Fonterra to establish an ultimate design and configuration to enable treatment of up to 500 kL/hr of wastewater.

Two Hydroflux HyDAF HD-250S units were installed to operate in parallel downstream of a balance tank. Each unit was fitted with upstream pH control, float removal scrapers with thickening blades, and with automated desludging facilities.
