Hydroflux Delivers a Wastewater Solution for a Key Pharmaceutical Facility
October 15, 2026
Pharmaceuticals form a key part of maintaining health to our population. The sector is growing, primarily driven by population growth, aging population and increased demand for biologics and oncology treatment. Across ANZ the market is estimated to be worth approximately $20.5B pa.

Wastewater from pharma manufacturing plants is generated from multiple parts of the production process. Equipment cleaning and sanitisation is a major contributor.
“We delivered a wastewater plant under a design build model. Central to the process is the integration of our HyDAF technology. The treatment system removes organics and suspended solids whilst correcting pH prior to discharge into the sewer network.
To manage the variable nature of the wastewater composition an equalisation stage was incorporated to buffer concentration spikes.
Our proprietary HyDAF technology is manufactured in stainless steel, providing for a long service life and resistance to corrosion. Being Australian made, the build quality is of the highest standards with a quick turnaround on delivery times” says John Koumoukelis, CEO of Hydroflux

Hydroflux delivers a range of water, wastewater and biosolids solutions to the industrial and municipal sector. Our aftermarket division provides tailored service programs to ensure the assets operate at their highest potential.
