Reduced Screenings Disposal Costs for Acacia Bay STP
The Acacia Bay STP owned by Taupo District Council treats up to 365 kL/d of sewage via a sequential batch reactor (SBR) process. Hydroflux were contracted to install a new screenings wash press system in order reduce the amount of screenings taken offsite for transport.

A HUBER WAP Wash Press was selected for the process and accepts screenings from current screening system onsite. The HUBER WAP is a horizontal screw wash press with discharge pressure pipe that is design to remove faecal material from captured screening and compact the screenings.
